Best pizza • Best family-friendly restaurant: Piecasso

For the owners of Piecasso, running an Italian eatery is something that’s all in the famiglia.

The perennially popular pizzeria is but one of 10 in the Northeast run by a member of the Rovetto family, whether it’s the generation that’s started new families in Vermont and upstate New York, or the parents and uncles who came to the States from Sicily and brought their family recipes with them.

Whether you’re looking for a whole pie or a slice you can hide behind, the best pizza in the area comes anyway you want it sliced. The Pablo Pesto, The Big Kahuna, The Leonardo and The Carcass come from the creative minds of the menu-designers, or you can use a big disc of New York-style dough as your own personal pizza canvas.

There’s plenty of beer and wine for the parents, and video games for the kids. The place is packed for trivia nights, and local mountain bikers meet there once a week for a group ride before catching an après ride mountain bike movie.
