Susan Grant, in the apron, delivers lunch to a customer at the Apple Core Luncheonette, now open seven days a week at Cold Hollow Cider Mill in Waterbury Center.

Cold Hollow Cider Mill, the popular destination on Route 100 in Waterbury Center, has opened the Apple Core Luncheonette.

Vermonter Susan Grant will run the luncheonette, incorporating organic and local products into a healthy menu.

From 11:30 to 3 on weekdays, and 11:30 to 3:30 on weekends, Apple Core Luncheonette will serve salads, cold sandwiches, wraps, grilled paninis on homemade bread, and a host of apple products and homemade spreads.

Menu, information and daily specials: coldhollow.com or 244-8771.

The luncheonette will augment the Cold Hollow experience, which now offers a big variety of Vermont tastes — hot apple cider donuts, fresh apple cider, cider jelly, cheese, fudge, mustards, applesauce, honey, apple pies, pumpkin rolls, maple cream cheese pockets, apple-cheddar squares and lots more.

The mill also sells Vermont T-shirts and art, and Vermont-made wines and hard cider. It’s closed only on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
