A Johnson man died last month of a suspected drug overdose despite police efforts to revive him with the opioid reversal drug naloxone.

Police responded to reports of an unconscious man at a home on Highland Road in Johnson July 12 at 6:30 a.m. Patrick Daniels, 35, was given two doses of naloxone spray after police suspected he had overdosed, but the spray had no effect on his condition. He was pronounced dead at 7:09 a.m.
