Parents of students or adults who have received special education services in schools in Elmore, Morristown and Stowe should be aware that certain records will be destroyed after Wednesday, July 31. This information may be needed to establish eligibility for certain benefits, such as Social Security. If you do not wish to have this information destroyed, contact Linda Berger, Director of Student Services at Lamoille South Supervisory Union, 46 Copley Ave., Morrisville, Vermont 05661; 888-4541. Requests to obtain records must be received before Monday, July 15, 2013.

The record of students who received special education or 504 services who graduated, transferred, left school or became ineligible for services during school year 2006, will be purged. That means that any educational records no longer needed to provide education services, including psychological, medical, in-school, court, discipline, and anecdotal reports, and recommendations will be destroyed.
