This week’s meeting was the first presided over by Stowe Rotary’s new president, George Lewis, and began on a positive note with the reading of a “thank you” letter from Stowe Parks & Recreation for Stowe Rotary’s donation to the summer camp program. The club was very happy to welcome new member Denise King who is a sales consultant with Casella Waste Management.

The evening’s speakers were two successful local entrepreneurs, Leigh Williams, the owner of Laughing Moon Chocolates, and Chris Keiser, president of the Vermont Peanut Butter Company. Chris was here to speak about entrepreneurship in Vermont and Leigh spoke about joint ventures and cooperation among local businesses.
