The 35th student art show opens with a reception on Monday, May 2, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Helen Day Art Center, 90 Pond St., Stowe.
Stowe elementary, middle and high school students exhibit their artwork along with students from guest schools U32 and Montpelier High School. The show runs through May 29.
The art includes a variety of media and subject matter taught by dedicated art teachers: Jen Volansky, Stowe Elementary; Trina Zide and Tim Waite, Stowe Middle School; Kate Crouse and Carleen Zimbalatti, Stowe High School; Barbara Austin-Hutchins, Montpelier High School; and Amy Koenigbauer, Kristine Chartrand, Krista Dy and Adrian Wade, U32.
Complimentary ice cream from Stowe Ice Cream will be served. Reception guests are also invited to participate in an art activity. The community is encouraged to support area youth and discover the talents of these masters in the making.
Information: Gallery hours are Wednesday to Sunday, noon to 5 p.m., and by appointment. Susan Holliday, education coordinator, 253-8358, education@helenday.com, helenday.com.
