Stowe police arrested Joshua Adams, 20, of Holmes Lane last week, charging him with aggravated sexual assault of a child and with simple assault.
Police have released few details of the case because it involves a minor.
Local law enforcement worked with the Vermont Department of Children and Families in the investigation leading up to the arrest. Police also obtained a search warrant for Adams’ home, and say the investigation is continuing.
Adams is scheduled for arraignment Oct. 22 in Lamoille County Superior Court.
