Maureen Slayton, owner of Sage Therapeutic Massage in Stowe, was recently elected into the first vice president’s position for the Vermont chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association. She has been an active member of the Vermont chapter, holding past positions of sports & community events chair, newsletter editor and second vice president, as well as her current role as government relations chair.
Slayton also recently obtained board certification in massage therapy. She passed an exam that only 100 practitioners nationally were invited to take. Board certification is the highest credential that can be obtained in the massage therapy profession.
