A workshop on writing a marketing plan for small businesses will be offered by the Lamoille Economic Development Corp. on Wednesday, Nov. 14, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Green Mountain Technology and Career Center in Hyde Park.
Norman D. McElvany, a professor of business and economics at Johnson State College, will lead the event.
Researching, measuring and planning marketing efforts are crucial to success. Many small businesses waste thousands of dollars marketing to the wrong people, using the wrong media, marketing at the wrong time, or underestimating their competition.
The workshop will cover the basics of researching, understanding and implementing a well-conceived and effective marketing plan.
