A Stowe woman was cited for allegedly driving under the influence Dec. 31 after she drove off of Interstate 89 in Williston and her car got stuck in a snow bank shortly after 12:30 p.m.

State police found that Sonia Vasek, 33, registered greater than .08 percent on a blood-alcohol test, the level at which a person is considered legally intoxicated. She was transported to the Williston State Police Barracks where she was cited and released. She is scheduled to appear in Chittenden County Superior Criminal Court on Jan. 17.
