Feb. 29 at 9:52 a.m., car hit a tree on Cady Hill Road. No injuries reported.
Feb. 29 at 10:55 a.m., police began looking into a theft, but didn’t offer details while they're investigating.
Feb. 29 at 11:50 a.m., a stray dog found near Black Bear Run was picked up and eventually reunited with its owner.
Feb. 29 at 1:14 p.m., a car was hit in a parking lot on Edson Hill Road.
March 1 at 12:53 a.m., police ran traffic patrol near a low-hanging power line near Black Bear Run until Stowe Electric Department came to fix it.
March 1 at 1:16 p.m., The Bench reported an attempted break-in, indicated by damage to a door in the building.
March 1 at 1:39 p.m., there was a fight, and some firewood went missing from the Matterhorn Restaurant, a place recently named the No. 1 après-ski bar in America.
March 1 at 2:49 p.m., a purse was lost, and has not yet been found.
March 1 at 6:43 p.m., police are investigating a possible threat via text message.
March 2 at 7:38 a.m., two-car accident near the intersection of Mountain and Weeks Hill roads; minor vehicle damage, but no injuries reported.
March 2 at 11:55 a.m., another minor two-car accident, this one near the crest of Harlow Hill on Mountain Road.
March 2 at 12:54 p.m., a wallet found at Sushi Yoshi was turned over to police.
March 2 at 2:17 p.m., a check written at Maplefields was traced to an inactive account in Morristown.
March 2 at 4:52 p.m., a car hit a mailbox on Cady Hill Road but no charges were leveled.
March 2 at 8:40 p.m., on Mountain Road, a person was thought to be acting suspiciously, but police determined nothing was amiss.
March 3 at 11:18 a.m., a car was battered with shattering ice flying from the roof of the vehicle ahead while driving near Stowe Mountain Resort.
March 3 at 3:05 p.m., a car owner knows his vehicle was damaged, but wasn’t sure where, when or by whom.
March 3 at 7 p.m., police were investigating an incident involving a juvenile, and gave no details.
March 4 at 1:09 a.m., police warned some late-night visitors to Emily’s Bridge that they were being too loud, and one got a warning for driving an unregistered vehicle.
March 4 at 8:17 p.m., a person received a fishy email from a sender seeking money, and called police without falling for the possible scam.
March 4 at 8:40 a.m., police enforced a no-trespass notice for Maplefields.
March 4 at 11:24 a.m., a hiker up in Smugglers’ Notch encountered some other people walking around, and was alarmed about the axes they were carrying.
March 4 at 12:43 p.m., a person alleged a stranger was using stolen personal information to fill out an application.
March 4 at 2:23 p.m., a radio pager was turned over to police, who still have it.
March 4 at 6:49 p.m., the person who found a credit card reported it to police.
March 5 at 2:43 a.m., police on patrol spotted a man walking in the middle of Mountain Road on a cold night, determined he was a little tipsy, and gave him a ride home.
March 5 at 8:53 a.m., after pulling over a car for speeding on Maple Street, and after searching the car, police busted the driver for having more marijuana than could be classified as being for personal use. Police charged Camden M. Young, 26, of Marsden Mills, Mass., with a misdemeanor offense of marijuana possession or cultivation, because he allegedly had more than 2 ounces of harvested weed.
March 5 at 12:50 p.m., police warned an alleged harassing texter not to send such mean missives.
March 5 at 1:59 p.m., management at Northern Lights Hotel said a guest stole $100 worth of items from the hotel room.
March 5 at 3:43 p.m., fender-bender in the Sun & Ski parking lot.
March 6 at 2:25 a.m., a car was damaged in the Baggy Knees parking lot.
March 6 at 8:51 a.m. a tailgating driver on Route 100 north of town was reported, but not found by police.
March 6 at 1:14 p.m., a set of keys found on Mountain Road was turned over to police.
March 6 at 9:02 p.m., an intoxicated woman was reported causing a row at the Backyard Tavern but was gone by the time police got there.

Accidents: 3 minor traffic accidents.
Arrests: 2 — Carmen Fuller, 45, of Hyde Park, charged with driving under the influence; Matthew Vincent, 29, of Indiana, Pa., was charged with driving after criminal license suspension.
For the week of Feb. 20
Incidents: 80.
Accidents: 2 minor traffic accidents.
Arrests: 1 — Spencer Guyette, 27, of Hardwick was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
