The Stowe Trail Race Series continued with another epic race through the technical single-track trails in Cady Hills. Hosted by the Golden Eagle Resort, more than 60 runners participated in the Cady Hills 5K, including the majority of Stowe High School’s cross-country team under the coaching of Becky McGovern.

This year saw the introduction of a new route and thus new course records set. Ryan Kerrigan of Moretown had the fastest time on the new course, finishing in 22:31. The women’s champion was Metzi Anderson of Stowe with a time of 26:34. Laying claim to the Master’s titles were Sebastian Sweatman of Stowe (25:32), and Heidi Noonan of Jeffersonville (28:20). All first-place winners went home with a pair of Pearl Izumi running shoes and happy smiles.
