In the mood for some hard cider this weekend?

Stowe Cider, the brainchild of partners Stefan Windler and Marc Chretien, opens its doors on Saturday at 11 a.m., in the former Snow’s Market and Deli building, 1815 Pucker St.

“Our philosophy is simple: produce a classic New England farmhouse-style hard cider which is crisp, dry and mildly carbonated,” the company said in a press release. “Grown from local orchards almost exclusively, and from a selection of apple varieties designed to produce a balanced hard cider with a clean finish and mild apple bouquet.”

The company also plans to introduce other hard cider varieties, including one with a mix of blueberry and apple.

Stowe Cider will hold tastings between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday.
