Vermont Peanut Butter in Morrisville and Johnson State College in Johnson are now officially “partners in health, education and community.”

Vermont Peanut Butter is offering a 15-percent discount to all Johnson State College students at the factory store in Morrisville. In addition, the school will sell small quantities of the local peanut butter in its bookstore and general market.

Jamey Ventura, Johnson State’s athletic director, said the partnership aligns with the school’s mission. “We are deeply invested in promoting healthy lifestyles for our students. Peanut butter is the perfect high protein complement to an athlete’s diet,” Ventura said in a press release.

Vermont Peanut Butter has also aligned itself with the Vermont Mountain Biking Association. Vermont Peanut Butter will include the association’s logo on its proprietary flavor, “Green Mountain Goodness,” and its new energy food packs, called the VTPB Pack It, will be available at the association’s events, as well as at mountain bike, ski and outdoor retail shops around the United States.
