Chef Tom Bivins of the Crop Bistro and Brewery in Stowe has offered a four-hour cooking lesson to be followed by a three-course meal at the arts and entertainment auction to be held Sunday, March 24, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Esther Mesh Room at the Chandler Center for the Arts, 71-73 Main St., Randolph. The $10 admission includes a chili dinner. A cash bar will be available.

Auctioneers Kristin Chandler, Charlie McMeekin and Bob Eddy will entertain the crowd. The most unusual or sought-after items will be part of the live event, while many smaller items will be offered in a silent auction. Highlights include a drawing class by Karen Petersen; a custom painting of the winning bidder’s home by Sally Penrod; a signed copy of Bonnie Clause’s book, “Edward Hopper in Vermont,” and a tour of the artist’s local painting sites; and a gourmet dinner served on the Chandler stage, with musical entertainment.
