A Waterbury woman was charged with driving under the influence after a Vermont State Police trooper allegedly saw her driving erratically on Interstate 89.
Sheila Voyer, 48, was arrested Monday at 3:04 p.m.
The trooper was following a green Honda CRV south on Interstate 89 in Richmond, and saw the vehicle drive erratically in the breakdown lane and then swerve back into the travel portion of the interstate, then back into the breakdown lane.
The trooper stopped the vehicle, which Voyer was driving. Her blood-alcohol count was measured at 0.16 percent, double the 0.08 that’s considered proof of intoxication. She’s scheduled for arraignment Feb. 9 in Chittenden County Superior Court.
