Best maple syrup: Stowe Maple Products

When winter is over, plumes of white steam curl over themselves as they pour out of the silver chimney atop Stowe Maple Products’ dark brown barn-like building.

Sugaring season is a major affair for the Stowe business. The company, owned by Steven and Robin Pierson, churns out gallon upon gallon of Vermont’s sweet lifeblood each season.

It’s two-for-two for the Piersons in the 4393s; this is the second year in a row that Stowe Maple takes the top award for best maple in town. Butternut Mountain Farm in Morrisville came in a close second, and our industrious readers voted their own maple syrup to bronze (is that a new grade?). Here’s to many more years of sweet maple-y goodness.
