Edelweiss Mountain Deli, located at 2251 Mountain Road, is a convenience store, delicatessen and bakery.
The deli menu is extensive, with sandwiches made to order — the Brittany, for instance, contains brisket, onions, cheddar, Worcestershire sauce, mayonnaise, lettuce and tomato, all in a garlic and herb wrap. Owner Alex Stein specializes in tasty smoked meats.
The bakery turns out elaborate pastries and, with a little notice, will prepare pastry trays with lots of choices. It also makes fun items, such as giant whoopie pies.
Ice cream, beer, wine, a coffee bar and a wide selection of convenience-store items guarantee that everyone can find something enticing to eat at Edelweiss.
