The top three vote-getters in this category offer potential outdoor enthusiasts a good cross-section of the different ways to get outside and enjoy Lamoille County in the summer while stretching your legs.
The Stowe Pinnacle Trail, No. 1 in the category for 2018, gets hikers out on the mountain for an easy climb through the C.C. Putnam State Forest with views of some of the tallest peaks in the Green Mountain State.
The silver and sylvan Lamoille Valley Rail Trail takes visitors along the gravel path that followings the winding course of the Lamoille River, offering up a plethora of views along the 17-mile stretch that’s currently open between Morrisville and Cambridge.
Rounding out the podium with some easy riding, the Stowe Rec Path serves up a paved pathway that tours from Stowe Village up towards Mount Mansfield and Smugglers’ Notch.
