TOWN OF STOWE
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
DEVELOPMENT REVIEW BOARD

The Stowe Selectboard is currently accepting letters of interest
from Town residents interested in serving on the Development
Review Board (DRB).
The Development Review Board (DRB) evaluates and decides whether proposed
development meets the standards and procedures defined in the town’s adopted
zoning and subdivision regulations. The DRB is a quasi-judicial body which holds warned
public hearings, conducts site visits, and issues written decisions on subdivision and
development applications, zoning appeals, waiver, and variance requests. The DRB also
meets in deliberative sessions as needed to review application information and hearing
materials and to draft findings and decisions. The work of the DRB and the
administration of the town’s land use regulations is one of the most important aspects
of implementing the goals, policies, and strategies outlined in the Stowe Town Plan.
Residents who would like more information about these volunteer positions, or who
would like to apply, may do so by writing to the Town Manager’s Office, P.O. Box
730, Stowe or email aearle@stowevt.gov. You can also obtain information about the
Town’s boards and commissions by calling (802)253-7350 or by visiting our website
