Jared Gilbert, an accountant in Copley Hospital’s finance department, has been honored as a Copley Team Hero.
The award honors an employee for outstanding service to patients and their families and for exemplifying the hospital’s values of community, respect, compassion, service excellence, and life-long learning.
Angela Lamell, the hospital controller, nominated Gilbert for the award.
During a transitional period in the finance department, “without hesitation, Jared stepped up and took on the responsibilities of processing weekly time sheets and payroll,” Lamell wrote in her nomination letter, and helped train the department’s accounting assistant.
Gilbert, who joined Copley’s finance team in 2005, has primary responsibility for financial reports for Copley Health Systems. He lives in Morrisville, has three children, and enjoys outdoor activities, including biking, kayaking and hiking.
