Morristown EMS, Sharon Duffy

Sharon Joy Duffy, 48, of Johnson died peacefully at her home Sept. 26, 2019, with her loving family by her side. Duffy was an EMT with Morristown Rescue for six years, and a Johnson town constable and health officer for several years.

Memorial services for Sharon Duffy of Johnson will be held Friday, Oct. 4 in Morristown and Saturday, Oct. 5 in Johnson.

Duffy was an EMT with Morristown Rescue for six years, and a Johnson town constable and health officer for several years. She died of cancer Sept. 26 at the age of 48. 

On Friday, Oct. 4, there will be a wake from 6 to 8 p.m. at Faith Funeral Home, 165 Brooklyn St., Morristown. Morristown EMS members will attend. There is limited on-site parking.

On Saturday, Oct. 5, an ambulance and family procession will depart the funeral home and travel to the United Church of Johnson at 1:30 p.m. 

At the church, Morristown EMS members and other participating agencies will form ranks from the ambulance to the church entrance, and give a salute. 

The service will begin at 2 p.m., end with a "last call" broadcast, and a reception will follow.

Some road closures and slow traffic during the procession from Morristown to Johnson can be expected between 1:30 and 2 p.m. Saturday on Brooklyn Street and Route 15.

Stowe and Northern EMS will provide 911 and emergency coverage during the services.
