David was born on Sept. 8, 1964, the son of Maurice and Shirley (Hunt) Lawrence.

David M. Lawrence, 54, of Eden died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 17, 2019 in an automobile accident.
David was born on Sept. 8, 1964, the son of Maurice and Shirley (Hunt) Lawrence.
On June 17, 1995, he married Melissa Duffany in Bridport, VT.
He served in the U.S. Army for more than seven years, and with the 131st Engineers at the Vermont National Guard in Williston for over 14 years. He also proudly served in Desert Storm and Iraq Freedom.
David spent the last 18 years working in the radiology department at Copley Hospital where he touched many lives.
David enjoyed waterfowl hunting and fishing as well as walking in the woods with his dog Tucker. Some of his many hobbies included buying and fixing boats, collecting vintage decoys, and researching everything he could about whatever he was interested in at the moment.
He had a great love for his family and was extremely proud of them. He enjoyed entertaining all the people he came in contact with by sharing his endless collection of jokes.
He is survived by his wife Melissa Lawrence, and his sons Joshua and Ethan Lawrence, all of Eden; his brother Don Lawrence and his wife Wendy of Fletcher; his father and mother-in-law Harry and Muriel Duffany of Bridport; and nephews Matthew and Daniel Lawrence.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 24 at 1 p.m. in Johnson at Lamoille Valley Church of the Nazarene, with a reception to follow in Eden at the family’s residence.
Burial will be in the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph on July 29 at 1 p.m.
