Howard G. Bennett, 87, of Spring Hill, Fla. died Oct. 29, 2018, at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point in Hudson, Fla.
He was born Feb. 19, 1931, in Cambridge, Vt., and had lived in Florida for 38 years. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He owned and operated a lawn and garden business.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Janice Bennett; son Barry Bennett of Palm Harbor, Fla.; daughters Cheryl Goodnow of Loveland, Colo., Cindy Goodenow of Colchester, and Darla Senecal of Bristol; sister Edith Lamphere of Vermont; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A son, Randall Bennett, died earlier, as did his brothers Bert Bennett and William “Junior” Bennett.
He was an incredibly kind, generous and caring person and will be dearly missed.
Howard was a parishioner of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church in Spring Hill, Fla. A service will be held there Thursday, Nov. 8, at 11 a.m.
