On Pentecost Sunday, in his homily the Rev. Francis Privé talked about the responsorial psalm, “Lord, send out your Spirit and renew the face of the earth.”

He said this is a powerful statement and we need to take the time to reflect on how the Holy Spirit works in our own lives. We often wonder why certain things happen, but if we look inside, we can usually find the reason; the Holy Spirit will help us understand.

The Gospel tells us that the first gift Jesus wanted the disciples to receive was a deep inner peace. Fr. Privé said it is immensely satisfying to experience and feel that kind of peace. He suggested that, if in those moments you are moved to do something, just do it because the urge comes from the Holy Spirit.
