On “Choir Sunday” Sept. 15, the congregation will be delighted to welcome back both the choir and director/organist Shaun Booher from their summer’s vacation.

Guest pastor will be the Rev. Neil Carr.

“It’s easier said than done!” was the message given by our guest pastor, the Rev. David Vanderlinde-Abernathy, last week at Rally Sunday, delivered to both the children at Children’s Moment in the sanctuary and to the adult congregation. “We need each other,” he told the children. And to the adults, he said, “Our discipleship is a lifelong journey.”

Thanks to Cynthia and Charlie Yerrick for their special music by piano and voice.

We are a community church that supports and serves the needs of children, youth, and families.

“Breakfast On Us” is served Monday through Thursday from 7 to 9 a.m.

The Youth Center, under the direction of Haleigh West, has a room of its own in the downstairs of the church and meets every Monday through Thursday from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Watch for the next community dinner announcement.

And remember, “Whoever you are and wherever you are on your life journey, you are welcome here.”
