This is Bring a Friend to Church Month. Research shows that 86 percent of folks come to a church because they are invited by a friend. Only 6 percent come because a pastor invites them.
This Sunday, worship will be focused on the strength and vitality of God’s church of the 21st century. God is beckoning us, inviting us to be followers of Jesus who feed the hungry, care for the poor, provide for the homeless, welcome the stranger, include and embrace all. As God’s people follow in Jesus’ footsteps, the church will thrive and be a relevant and powerful force for making our world a better place for all.
We worship at 10 a.m. with Sunday school for children from 3 years old to fifth grade. Middle school youth meet twice a month in our youth center on Sunday afternoon and Friday evening. Senior high youth meet with the pastor twice a month for conversation and fellowship. Adult Bible study meets every Wednesday at 10 a.m.
Breakfast on Us provides free meals every weekday. Our benevolence program, Open Hands, Open Hearts, provides food cards, gas cards, and help with utilities and rent. No money is given out. Our free community dinner is served the last Friday of every month. The Lamoille County Youth Center, housed at our church since 2005, welcomes youth Monday through Thursday after school.
Please join us for any of our worship, education, or service opportunities. Whoever you are and wherever you are on life’s journey, you are welcome.
