A nine-week workshop called Families Affected by Substance Use starts Thursday, Sept. 19, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Behavioral Health and Wellness Center, 607 Washington Highway, Morrisville.

The series is for adults who have been affected by a loved one’s substance use, and will be led by counselors Meagan DeWitt and Ben Sklarski.

Most people struggle with how to be a friend or supportive family member to an addicted loved one. This workshop is designed for people facing this challenge.

A previous attendee said, “I learned that it’s OK to feel how I’m feeling, and that there are people and services out there.”

The workshop covers support, communication, self-care, boundary setting and many other topics.

The workshop is free. For information or to join: Meagan DeWitt at 802-851-8822.
