Sunrise Physical Therapy is collaborating with the Cambridge Community Center to offer strength and conditioning sessions to prepare student-athletes for winter sport seasons.
Sunrise physical therapist Emily Slayton will work with students in grades seven through 12 — skier, snowboarder, hockey player, basketball player or simply looking to improve overall conditioning.
The seven-week course began in late September and will be offered on Wednesdays from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Cambridge Community Center Fieldhouse, running through Nov. 14 (excluding Halloween).
Slayton joined Sunrise Physical Therapy this summer; she earned a doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Vermont this spring. She is a certified strength and conditioning coach and an avid athlete, and played basketball throughout high school and college.
