Is it time to push the HR refresh button? Are you on top of federal and state legislation? Not sure?

Join Lamoille Economic Development Corporation for an interactive review of both recent — and not so recent — legislation, its potential impact on your HR practices, and ways to determine if it applies to your business.

The workshop presenter is Teresa Miele, who has 20-plus years of human resources experience at her most recent position at Rutland Plywood Corporation. When the company was destroyed by a catastrophic fire it required her to use all of her knowledge and abilities to support employees through the loss of both the company and their jobs.

Miele started her own HR consulting company, HR Acquired, LLC, and she now supports multiple businesses in a variety of industry sectors.

A list of resources will be provided to participants.

The workshop will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 18 from 9 a.m. to noon in the community center at Green Mountain Technology and Career Center in Hyde Park. Cost is $49 and pre-registration is required.
