The top team in the Hardwick men’s softball league maintained its lead with another win in the 14th week of play.

The Wolfpack topped the second-place Outlaws 11-4 to strengthen its grip on first as the playoffs approach.

In other games, the Snakes beat the Country Boys 6-5 in a battle for fifth place, Local Electric beat the Luddites 11-4 and Buffalo Mountain Powersports beat the Knights 20-5.

The Rebels had a bye.

Two doubleheaders were played the week before, on July 30. The Outlaws swept their doubleheader with the Country Boys, 4-3 and 7-3, to move past them in the standings while the Wolfpack stayed on top with wins of 11-2 and 15-0 over the Luddites.

Buffalo Mountain Powersports beat the Snakes 11-4, the Rebels beat the Knights 16-4 and Local Electric had a bye.

Games are played every Tuesday on fields in Garfield, Wolcott, Greensboro and East Hardwick. The playoff tournament is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 7, in Garfield.
