Stock-car drivers at Thunder Road in Barre kicked off the second half of their season with the WDEV Radio/Calkins Portable Toilets Night on Thursday, Aug. 1.

The week also featured extra racing, with the Bolduc Metal Recycling Enduro and an extra Street Stock feature race on Sunday, Aug. 4.

Winners on Sunday:

• Frank Putney of Graniteville won the 35th running of the 200-lap Bolduc Metal Recycling Enduro, finishing ahead of 102 other drivers who entered the annual People’s Race.

• Kasey Beattie of St. Johnsbury drove the No. 45 car to victory in the 50-lap feature event for the Allen Lumber Street Stocks.

Winners on Thursday:

• Jason Corliss of Barre drove No. 66 to a win in the 50-lap feature race for the Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Models, and he regained first place in the season standings for Late Models.

• Michael MacAskill of Williamstown won his second race of the year in the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers feature event.

• Tyler Pepin of Barre claimed his third win of the season in the Allen Lumber Street Stocks.

• James Dopp of Northfield started in 13th place, but 20 laps later he was No. 1 in the feature for the Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors.

Drivers will be back at the track this Thursday, Aug. 8, for Cody Chevrolet Cadillac Night, which includes the final leg of the Myers Container Services Triple Crown for the Flying Tigers.
