Renovated launch

Boaters wishing to navigate the waters of the 800-acre Waterbury Reservoir can now access the popular recreation spot from the freshly renovated launch at the Waterbury Dam. Green Mountain Power’s license to operate a hydropower facility at the Waterbury Dam was recently renewed by federal regulators, and as part of the relicensing, the utility company was obliged to do the work there (and at the Blush Hill launch point) to improve recreational access. GMP paid for the construction work, which was directed by the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation. More than 40,000 people visit the Waterbury Reservoir every year.
