This weekend we celebrate the 14th Sunday in Ordinary Time. We say farewell and thank you to our pastor of two years, Monsignor Peter Routhier.

We welcome our new pastor, the Rev. Jon Schnobrich, and the Rev. Joseph Ikegbunam, parochial vicar.

Father Joseph celebrates his seventh anniversary on July 7 and will be away. On July 14, we will host a coffee hour after the 10:30 Mass to meet our new priests who will serve Morrisville and Stowe.

Father Joseph will celebrate the vigil Mass on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.; we will have a visiting priest for the Sunday Masses at 8 and 10:30 a.m.

Mass on July 4 will be at 9 a.m.

See the schedule for the weekday Masses in the Sunday bulletin, or at the back of the church, or online: catholicchurch-stowe.net.

Bishop Coyne will celebrate the annual Family Day Mass July 7 at 12:15 at St. Anne’s Shrine, Isle LaMotte.

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops is the official source of our Mass readings: usccb.org/bible/ readings/062419.cfm. Note the numbers are the date, mm/dd/yy. You can opt-in to receive the daily readings to your email account.

Our Sunday Mass readings include Isaiah’s poetic description of how the Lord will bring prosperity to Jerusalem and comfort the people “as a mother comforts her child.” The exiles are just returning from Babylon in peace; Shalom (Isaiah 66:10-14).

Lamoille Community Food Share serves our neighbors. Thank you to the many donors who place food in the large basket at the back of the church or send checks.
