Turn off texting

Stowe High School kids got to experience first-hand the danger of texting and driving through a simulation from Youth Safety Council of Vermont, called “Turn Off Texting.” On Monday, Stowe High School students had to navigate a golf cart through a maze of traffic cones, then try it again while texting. Their errors — the cones that they run into while texting, which represent pedestrians or parked cars — make the dangers of texting and driving plain to understand.
