Anne Galloway, founder and editor of VTDigger.org, and Hope Sullivan, the new executive director of the Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center, spoke to the Stowe Rotary Club at recent meetings.
Galloway, one of the most respected journalists in Vermont, told the club how she founded the online news site, about her thoughts on journalism in Vermont in relation to politics and business, and the intersection of the two.
Sullivan comes to Stowe from the Berkshires in Massachusetts, where she was executive director of IS183, Art School of the Berkshires, for over a decade. She has strong experience in fundraising, program development and marketing/advertising, and looks forward to using those skills at the arts center at Stowe Mountain Resort.
The Rotary speaker Dec. 21 will be Caren Merson, president-elect of the Stowe Rotary, who will talk about Rotary International. The meeting will be at the Town and Country Resort, 876 Mountain Road, Stowe, from 6:45 to 8:15 p.m.
