The first annual Harvest Swap will be held Sunday, Nov. 4, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Lakeview Elementary School in Greensboro.

This is an opportunity to try someone else’s homegrown handiwork and bring some more variety to your pantry.

People are invited to bring items they’ve grown and/or preserved to swap.

Items will be swapped on a one-for-one basis and should have an estimated value of $5 or $5 increments, such as a quart of canned tomatoes, a jar of jelly, a loaf of bread, a large winter squash, a bag of dried vegetables, or a tea blend. Attendees are invited to bring an extra item to share.
