A crowd of chowder enthusiasts flocked to Park Street in Stowe Saturday for the annual Chowderpalooza, held every Memorial Day weekend by Stowe Vibrancy. The event brought 15 area restaurants who shared space with the Art on Park merchant series, with live music and nary a cloud in the sky.

Taking home the trophy — a baby blue Creuset Dutch oven mounted on a pedestal — was The Lodge at Spruce Peak, with Country Breakfast Chowder, a sweet and savory chowder featuring maple tinged bacon and sausage. Second place went to The Bistro at Ten Acres for Dustin Johnson’s Seafood Chowder, and Cork Wine Bar and Restaurant came in third for Chuck Spock’s Red Curry Chowder.
