Rachel Fussell is the new executive director of the Stowe Trails Partnership, and will start her new job July 16.

She succeeds Evan Chismark, who resigned to start Ranch Camp, a mountain-bike-themed restaurant and bar in Stowe.

Fussell graduated from Warren Wilson College with a degree in environmental policy and ecological economics. She has spent the past five years with the Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont, and moved to Stowe to be closer to her passion, mountain biking.

Fussell has worked with environmental and agricultural nonprofits, local and national government agencies, and colleges. She has more than a decade of experience in project management, event coordination, grassroots organizing, community development and fundraising.

Fussell also enjoys snowboarding, gardening, and exploring new trails with her husband, Kelly Murphey, and energetic border collie, Ellie.
