• The U8 Mites were backstopped with great goaltending from Landon Kneale and Stewart Lemnah.

Team 1 started the game at a fast tempo, using its speed to control the play, only to have several shots turned away by an excellent St. Albans goaltender.

Daniel Donza opened the scoring with a sweet wrist shot. Braxton Orr followed with a hard-fought goal after many near-misses. Reece King’s skating was electric on Saturday, resulting in a pair of goals.

Ryan Hughes netted a nice upper-corner goal, assisted by his twin brother, Spencer Hughes. Gunnar Mink ripped one in after a pinpoint pass from Jack Boes. Reilly Lewton was on the puck all game, narrowly missing several goals.

• Team 2 had an excellent offensive game led by Vincent Romano and Owen Ruane, each scoring four goals and buzzing around the net all game long. Tristan Gagne netted a pair, with Jody Semler and Madison Shaw adding goals. Dean Roy set up two of the goals.

Conner Mayo and Curtis Donza played a smart defensive game.
