Rachel Sargent of Duxbury, a biologist and artist, will lead a Nature Journaling workshop on Saturday, May 4 and 11, at the Waterbury Reservoir. Meet at the Grange Hall Cultural Center, 317 Howard Ave., Waterbury Center at 10 a.m. sharp to sign up before moving to the site. Departure will be 10:10 a.m. Participants should bring a notebook and writing or drawing tools (some provided). This workshop will focus on introducing participants of all ages and experiences to the journaling framework and on developing sketching skills. These skills can be tailored to any interest, from recording fish catches to tracking seasonal hatches on a local brook or chronicling the experience of being on a local gem of a waterway resource. The cost for a single workshop is $15 for an adult; $10 for under 12. Pre-registration for both days is $25 for an adult and $15 for under 12. Anyone age 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
