As Vermont works to eliminate the use of single-use bags in retail stores, the Waterbury Rotary Club is getting involved with its Reusable Bag Project. The club received a district grant to create reusable bags, and money from bag sales will be invested back into the community. Citizens submitted designs for the bags, which will be printed on one side of a reusable tote bag, with the Rotary wheel on the other. The winner will be recognized at a Rotary meeting as well as a summer concert in the park, and will receive a bag filled with goodies. The final round of voting is open now through Wednesday, Sept. 30; community members are invited to vote on the designs above. To cast a vote, visit fb.com/waterburyvtrotary and “like” the photo of the design of your choice, or visit waterburynqid.com/reusable-bag-project/ and fill out the voting form. You can also vote in person at the Waterbury Public Library. Questions? Email Tami Bass at quepasa.t@gmail.com.
