As the unfolding fall season triggers the annual transition of Vermont’s mountains and valleys from verdant green to impressionistic brushstrokes of orange, gold and red, a viewer’s thoughts turn to … pumpkin spice SPAM?!

Visitors to the small state of Vermont find themselves with a huge selection of local food and drink options. Stowe is second only to Vermont’s largest city in the number of liquor licenses currently valid, according to the Vermont Department of Liquor Control.

The fifth annual Vermont Cider Classic is Saturday, Sept. 28 at Cold Hollow Cider Mill in Waterbury Center. Attendees can sample hard ciders from around the state while enjoying live music and local food trucks.
