Del Curto family

The world and three music genres come together in the second of Stowe Performing Arts' Gazebo Concerts on Tuesday, July 30, from 6 to 7 p.m. on the lawn of Stowe Free Library/Helen Day Art Center, 90 Pond St.

The concert is free. The Del Curto family has a long history in music, with four generations of bandoneon players. Argentinean Grammy Award winner Héctor Del Curto, renowned South Korean cellist Jisoo Ok and their son, 11-year-old clarinetist Santiago Del Curto who was born in Brooklyn, will take you on a journey of tango, classical and jazz. Through music they will tell how two people from totally opposite ends of the world came together and how Stowe played a major role in this story.

This family of musicians are running the sixth year of the successful Stowe Tango Music Festival in August. Support for this free series is provided by Friends of Stowe Free Library and the Town of Stowe.
