The Eleva Chamber Players, central Vermont’s only professional string chamber orchestra, will present “Big. Bold. Beautiful” on Saturday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m. at Waterbury Congregational Church, 8 N. Main St., Waterbury, and on Sunday, Nov. 11, at 3 p.m. at the Valley Players Theater, 4254 Main St., Waitsfield.
The Waitsfield concert will include a pre-concert reception at 2:30 p.m. featuring Vermont foods and wines by North Branch Vineyards.
The concerts explore music mostly from the Baroque period. Featured soloists will be flutists Karen Kevra and Ceora Jaffe, and Eleva’s concertmaster John Lindsey will lead a performance of Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 4. The program will also include works by Vivaldi, Handel, Corelli and Elgar.
Admission is $20 for adults and $10 for seniors, students and members of the Vermont Philharmonic or Montpelier Chamber Orchestra. Students of the Green Mountain Youth Symphony get free. Tickets at elevachamberplayers.org and at the door.
