The WDEV Radio Rangers began as an old time 1980s live radio show band performing on Saturday mornings in the basement of the local radio station. From old time classics to originals, the Radio Rangers serve up toe-tapping tunes and smooth ballads in a mix of country, bluegrass and western swing. The Radio Rangers play on the Main Stage on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 7:30 at Highland Center for the Arts, 2875 Hardwick St., Greensboro. Tickets are $10. generations will recognize the classic introduction “We don’t want to be strangers … we’re the Radio Rangers.” With plenty of room reserved in front of the stage, you can dance the night away to classic bluegrass with a musical legacy that spans decades.
