Deobrat Mishra, a composer and sitar musician from Varanasi, India, will perform on Sunday, July 7, at 3 p.m. at River Arts, 74 Pleasant St., Morrisville. Doors open at 2:30 p.m.
Mishra has an energetic and innovative playing style which combines original music with Dhrupad and Khayal singing, creating a new genre. His many projects include music workshops, solo performances for radio and television as well as world music programs with Indian and European artists.
