Root Shock

Zenbarn has a full weekend of live music, from psychedelic disco to reggae to jazz. On Friday, March 22, multi-instrumentalist and producer Nikhil P. Yerawadekar creates propulsive new flavors with his Low Mentality project, a Brooklyn-based band that combines funk, afro-beat and more with members of Antibalas, LCD Soundsystem & Pimps of Joytime. Nina’s Brew opens the evening, a Burlington-based trio playing blues, soul, R&B and pop. On Saturday, March 23, Root Shock (pictured) with special guests The Melting Nomads brings a full night of reggae-infused jams. On Sunday, March 24, the Vermont Jazz Ensemble’s 16-piece band is joined by guest pianist Joe Davidian. More information and full schedule at zenbarnvt.com. 179 Guptil Road, Waterbury Center.
