Authors visit Galaxy Bookshop

Two Vermont authors who have published new books this summer will visit The Galaxy Bookshop, 41 S. Main St., Hardwick, on Tuesday, Aug. 27, at 7 p.m., for a lively conversation about writing, along with readings from their respective novels. Miciah Bay Gault, coordinator of the Vermont Book Award and a teacher in the Vermont College of Fine Arts’ Writing & Publishing Program, will share her debut novel, “Goodnight Stranger,” a contemporary gothic mystery set on an island off Cape Cod. Goodnight Stranger is her first book. Ann Dávila Cardinal (pictured) will discuss her second young adult novel, “Five Midnights,” a thriller with supernatural undercurrents. She is a novelist and director of recruitment for Vermont College of Fine Arts. She also helped create VCFA’s winter writing residency in Puerto Rico. She lives in Vermont, needle-felts tiny reading creatures and cycles four seasons a year.
