16th Annual MountainTop Film Festival

The 16th Annual MountainTop Film Festival, a human rights film festival in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., offers a diverse program of documentary and dramatic films and special events, addressing social and environmental issues from around the world. The festival begins Friday, Jan. 18 and runs through Thursday, Jan. 24 at the Big Picture Theater in Waitsfield. This year’s program features 14 films as well as special events, including an opening reception on Friday with live music by Anthony Santor & Friends; Q&As with members of Outright Vermont, the Refugee Resettlement Program and the Vermont ACLU; and a special screening and benefit for “City of Joy,” hosted by Harwood Union High School’s Peace Alliance.
